Privacy policy
Muckr is a trading name of Stratustech Ltd, which is the data controller for the processing described below. Add your Companies House number and registered office on your own copy if publishing this file as PDF or elsewhere.
1. Who we are
Stratustech Ltd (trading as “Muckr”) is established in the United Kingdom. For data protection enquiries: hello@muckr.org.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website (muckr.org and related pages), join our waitlist, or contact us — and how we use, store, and share it. It is intended to meet the transparency requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
3. Personal data we collect
- Waitlist / email sign-up: email address when you join our waitlist — stored via Resend (audience / contacts) as processor.
- Contact: information you include if you email us (typically email address and message content).
- Website use (technical): standard server or hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, and date/time of requests. Our hosting provider may process this data for delivery and security.
We do not ask you for sensitive (“special category”) data on this marketing site. Please do not send health or other sensitive information unless we explicitly ask for it in a secure context.
4. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)
- Waitlist / marketing (where applicable): to add you to our list and send updates about Muckr — on the basis of consent where required, or legitimate interests in growing our business where the law allows (e.g. business-to-business contexts), always with a clear opt-out.
- Responding to enquiries: legitimate interests in communicating with prospective customers and supporters.
- Site operation and security: legitimate interests in running a secure website and understanding basic technical issues.
- Legal compliance: where we must process data to comply with law (e.g. tax or regulatory obligations).
5. Marketing and opt-out
Where we send marketing emails, we will only do so in line with UK law (including PECR where it applies). You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@muckr.org.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This site is designed to work with minimal tracking. If we use only essential cookies required for the site to function, we will not ask for consent for those. If we add analytics or non-essential cookies later, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent before they run.
7. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers (“processors”) who process data on our instructions, for example:
- Email / waitlist (Resend) — Resend, Inc. (United States). We use appropriate safeguards for international transfers where required (such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
- Website hosting — e.g. cloud hosting (may be in the EEA, UK, or US with appropriate safeguards).
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we ensure a valid transfer mechanism under UK GDPR (e.g. adequacy regulations, UK IDTA / Addendum, or standard contractual clauses).
9. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while you remain on a mailing list (until you unsubscribe) or as needed to resolve an enquiry. Technical logs are kept for short periods for security unless a longer period is required by law.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure connections (HTTPS) where we control the configuration. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
11. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Rectify inaccurate data;
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases;
- Restrict processing in certain cases;
- Data portability for data you provided, where processing is automated and based on consent or contract;
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (without affecting earlier lawful processing).
To exercise these rights, contact hello@muckr.org. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
12. Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. This site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
13. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on our website.
